Our Canadian operation, Canaccord Genuity Corp., is currently looking for a detail-oriented individual with exceptional multi-tasking and interpersonal skills to join their team in Toronto as a Branch Administrator.  The Branch Administrator will work alongside and support the Assistant Branch Manager.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Handle day-to-day tasks of running the branch (i.e. meetings; Investment Advisor (IA) support; basic organization of the office); 
  • Serve as gatekeeper for client calls, and escalate inquiries to Assistant Branch Manager as required;
  • Provide necessary documentation to operations departments;
  • Generally, work to improve the operational efficiency of the Head Office branch;
  • Process and follow-up on client documentation for proper maintenance of accounts;
  • Assist with maintaining the database of clients and prospects;
  • Maintain confidential records for Branch Managers;
  • Assist with organizing meetings and events;
  • Interface with many departments within Canaccord Genuity for approvals/investigation and requests;
  • Perform administrative duties to support the branch including preparing branch related reports and expense reports;  
  • Perform ongoing daily Know Your Client (KYC) tracking and House Accounts maintenance;
  • Assist with special projects as required.
 
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Completion (or in the process of completing) of CSC and CPH with a minimum of one to two years direct experience. Well-rounded knowledge of brokerage industry;
  • Experience within a client relations focused role;
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills. Dataphile and Execlear experience is an asset;
  • The ability to demonstrate initiative and work effectively independently;
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills;
  • Strong ability to demonstrate adaptability and flexibility;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work strategically;
  • Confident and professional communicator;
  • The ability to maintain a sense of urgency and meet deadlines;
  • The ability to demonstrate confidentiality and discretion;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with employees and clients at all levels.
