Our Canadian operation, Canaccord Genuity Corp., is currently looking for a Cyber Security Analyst with a Data Loss Prevention (DLP) focus. As a technical resource, this person will understand the nuance of our active DLP policies, modify alert conditions and manage the required exceptions to allow the business to function. Working closely with our Security Operations team and various business units, this person will refine our DLP program and confirm exposures with our regional Data Protection Officers and their groups.
Identify, assess, and escalate findings relating to events involving the potential loss or exposure of Canaccord Genuity's informational assets;
Work with the Manager of Cyber Security to report events involving the loss or exposure of Canaccord Genuity’s informational assets;
Recommend strategic security solutions and security control improvements specific to enhancing the identification of data security events
Skills & Qualifications
A Problem-Solver that is detail-oriented and adaptive
Prefer a working knowledge of existing DLP technologies such as McAfee and Microsoft AIP;
Firm understanding of Cloud-based permissions (such as SSO and conditional access)
Post-secondary education with studies focused on information/cyber security;
5 to 7 years of current and working knowledge in the field of information technology or cybersecurity;
Able to work well under pressure while maintaining a high level of professionalism is critical;
Demonstrate a current and working knowledge of Information Security best practices, methodologies, and techniques;
Professional certifications and membership of associations in the field of electronic discovery or information/cyber security (i.e. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)).
