Our Canadian operation, Canaccord Genuity Corp., is currently looking for a strong, motivated and experienced “all around” Infrastructure Engineer – Infrastructure Operation Group (IOG) to join our team and to take charge of the company’s IT infrastructure. We want you to use your skills and experience to improve the infrastructure until it’s running like a smooth-running machine. Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, configure and support infrastructure back-end systems.
  • Participate on daily Scrum team meetings with the team.  
  • Reducing the risk of security breaches by introducing and following security best-practices
  • Provide written proposals for technology upgrades and purchases.
  • Effectively communicate issues and resolutions to all levels of the organization.
  • Provide 2nd & 3rd level support for follow-up and resolution.
  • Establish and maintain documentation.
  • Must follow corporate Change Management procedures and being able to provide Audit reports and policies.
  • Some travel may be required to other offices in North America and/or abroad.
  • Requires a thorough knowledge of corporate policies and procedures and significant relevant experience; Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal information.
  • Responsible for projects and initiatives that will impact the company locally, regionally or nationally.
  • Provide coverage for others in the department during absences to ensure proper back-ups are in place.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • File Servers, Permissions and DFS, Print Server and Printer Deployment, Server OS 2008, 2012, 2016
  • Active Directory, RBAC, GPO, DHCP, DNS, IIS & Apache Core Services
  • SolarWinds, Nagios, Splunk and other operational monitoring tools.
  • Veritas NetBackup, Veeam and other backup solutions
  • Microsoft Remote Desktop Services 2012 R2 and Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop experience
  • Network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, IPSec, VPN, TLS, HTTP/HTTPS, FTP, SFTP, SSL, Telnet, etc.)
  • Configure and deploy Microsoft Azure Cloud, Azure AD, Azure Backup
  • VMware vSphere 6.x, SRM, VRA, VIN, vRealize Suite.
  • 3PAR, Netapp and other enterprise SANs, in-depth understanding of storage protocols FC/iSCSI/NFS/ and FC switches and zoning configuration, RAID levels
  • HP Server Experience, ILO, Remote Support, Blade Enclosure, Virtual Connect.
  • SQL 2014, 2016 and Microsoft SQL Clustering experience, backup & restore SQL Databases, SQL database server performance tuning and reports.
  • Powershell, Batch, VBS experience, ability to create and modify automation scripts
  • Exchange 2013 & 2016, mail flow, anti-spam solutions, (POP/SMTP/IMAP), ActiveSync, EAC, Webmail
  • SCCM 2012 experience, SCCM Reporting, SCCM Server Patching
  • Experience with Datacenter facilities, Air conditioner, UPS batteries, Power Delivery, etc.
  • Linux RedHat, CentOS and tools like Puppet
  • Perform parallel tasks assignments to ensure timely completion of deliverables;
  • Agile thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills; Enthusiastic, energetic with a proactive approach;
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; Ability to work independently and part of a team;
  • Microsoft (MCSA, MCSE), VMware (VCP), Cisco (CCNA), Citrix, HP SAN Certifications
